The job of a policeman/gendarme has always been neither easy nor safe. For more than 100 years, many police officers and gendarmes have paid for their services for society with their lives. Between 1885 and 2018, no fewer than 64 colleagues died in the line of duty. To pay tribute to these men and women, those responsible for the historical collection have worked on a 'memorial wall'. In addition to the names of the deceased colleagues, documentation has been compiled with the history of the events in question.

´Liliput´ où Moto (réel) vs MOTO (miniature)
Lors du weekend des ´Luxembourg Museum Days´ une idée a été née. Comme nous étions en possession d´une ´mini-moto´ version Polizei (Police allemande), cette piece étais en exposition à côté de la version originale. Comme la moto a connue un succes fou, nous sommes entrées en contacts avec la société, réalisant le lettrage des véhicules de la Police Grand-Ducale. Aprés présentation de notre idée, les responsables étais d´accord de réaliser le projet.
Le résultat de cette collaboration bientôt sur cette place. Un très grand MERCI au ´sponsors´.

Les travaux d´aménagement de notre Expositon permanente, les travaux pour l´Exposition thèmatique sur la Gendarmerie ainsi que l´aménagement de notre espace mémoire (policiers/gendarmes mort en service) .

back to his roots
VW Passat Tdi (1998) from the Gendarmerie Grand-Ducale, Fischbach Station, after his time at the Gendarmerie used by the Fire & Rescue Unit till 2022. Back to his roots (former Gendarmerie Garage in Luxembourg-Verlorenkost) in april 2022 added to the historic collection of the Grand-Ducal Police.
VW Passat Tdi, 1896 ccm, 81 kW, plaques d´immatriculation à l´époque: A6652, rampe Whelen, avertisseur sonore Federal Signal Corp., radio Motorola, dispositif de manipulation des commandes installé par le technicien de la Gendarmerie.
